The session is presenting the basic information in relation to the needs of children and young people on the spectrum. Information and materials presented are thoroughly discussed in each of the individual sessions from Day 2 to Day 10 of the course, and cover a wide range of practical, hands-on solutions and activities that will enhance daily lives of both those on the spectrum as well as their families and professionals involved.
The course is for parents, family members, carers and professionals such as teachers and health workers who support and work with individuals on the spectrum. Where the course focuses on children and young people it also covers elements of support when those on the spectrum become adults.
The session is an introductory class to a 30 hours course focusing on practical, daily support both at home and in school, but also in public space and places of public access such as shops and malls, cinemas, hospitals and other venues.
The course is in English, however there will be live subtitle translation into Spanish. Sessions include:
Autism Day 1 - Introduction (free)
Autism Day 2 - Behaviour of management, not management of behaviour
Autism Day 3 - Daily routines and management of home space
Autism Day 4 - Implementing diet
Autism Day 5 - Supporting personal hygiene
Autism Day 6 - Support in school, how to understand the needs?

Autism Day 8 - Am I experiencing autistic burnout? (for parents, family and teachers)
Autism Day 9 - Difficult topics - emotional support, friendships, partnerships and medical interventions
